Well ordered an export set of ASUS g51vx

    The spec are as followed
    t9600 2.8ghz
    gtx260m 1ghz.
    4gb of ddr2 ram.
    and 500g of hard disk

I am thinking may be notepal x2 or notepal infinite by cooler master.

My previous asus a6ja juz got fried and ... bad bad .. smoke ... :(
So i think i need to get one and must :(

    so any recommendation ?

Best is the coolest cooler ...

I knew X2P did a review on the X2 so well would be delighted if u shed some light on this :) thx in advance

i just bought the enermax aeolus, seems to work decent, for 17bucks that is. if you want to spend very lil, buy it from amazon for 41USD, no shipping fee, and u get a 30MIR. 11 bucks for a cooler that knocks about 5C off CPU/GPU at idle, and 5-7C @ load.

You dont have to ask for someone's advice. Many people here have good opinions. Asking for someone's opinion in particular leads to a one sided answer, which is usually not a good thing

I would advise building your own cooler, because chances are it will be better than anything available on the market.

5-6C drop is a disgrace, a proper cooler can keep full thermal load within 10C of ambient temperature

yes taht is why i said im kind of glad that i only spend 17bucks for it. it was that vs 70USD Cryo LX which i guess would take 10C off. but this deal was good so i bought it. its winter rite now, 64F ambient, my idles are

    CPU 43/43/44/42
    GPU 49

    all in C

i didnt feel rite to buy an expensive cooler, since this laptop was designed to run hot. it will most likely last me 3 yrz, b4 i buy a new laptop, and as long it survives, why do i need to cool it down so substantially with a 70usd cooler? my parents are the ones that thinK "its a freaking fan under a piece of metal". i dont know how to build one so....

I would avoid either for the G51. If I remember it uses a similar chasis if not identical to the G50 with the same vent placements.

Check out the Enermax Aeolus as some have had success with the combo as well as the Zalman NC2000 (here is a review with a G50 compare the base as well) http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=383414

Sorry for the short reply but Im on the go

yea, thats y im saying, dont just talk about temp drop. is the temp drop/$ worth it? 7C/$17bucks or 10-15C/$70? and also, if you own the G51, dont expect 10-15 out of the NC2000, it JUST WONT happen. ask forge, he has that cooler.

Unless that person knows the inside and outside of a notebook cooler better than anyone else. You know, someone like X2P.

Maybe, but then again, not everyone has access to junkyards, pulling EBM Pabst fans out of old, late model BMW's, much less afford to outright buy these items new or the technical savvy to put one together themselves.
