Anyone know of any larger sized fan type coolers?

I just tried the largest one I could find, a Targus Chill Mat XC. It's too small for my Toshiba L355. I can fit it on there, but the feet hang off front to rear and it has to be positioned perfectly.... and there's no way to keep it positioned perfectly.

Ideally the cooler would be 14.5 x 11.5 on top (and flat... rounded corners don't help and the Targus has those).

Yeah but a 120GB HDD does not extend the life of a laptop. I wish it did though.

Just wondering, how much did your CPU, GPU, HDD temps go down? I'm looking for a good cooler to.

    Thanks

You may also consider the Cooler Master Ergostand Notebook Cooler as it supports up to 17", has a 140mm fan, adjustable angles for ergonomic use, and a USB hub.

    Amazon Link

It costs $32.99 and has great reviews.

Well I sold my laptop and cooler together about 7 months ago, so this is based mainly off of memory.

I do not monitor my hdd temps, so these temps would only be for CPU and GPU. They both dropped around 3-5° C or about 8° F at Max Temps. With my GTX 260M, I was able to play Aion on Max settings for 14 hours straight and the computer never crashed, slowed down, or got hot enough where I had to stop playing and let it cool down. Also it was 14 hours straight with the laptop on the cooler on my lap the entire time in bed (Quit the game, so I don't play 14 hours straight anymore :p). Started at about noon, and stopped at 2-4 am, and the laptop was never hot to the touch when I took it off the cooler.
