I recently ordered a M14x but haven't received it yet, so I can't provide information on the measurements, I'm not sure about the airflow either but I believe the air intake is on the bottom and the outtake is through the back.

If there are any M14x users or people knowledgeable about them what laptop coolers/cooling pads do people recommend it?
I tried searching for any posts with M14x but for some reason it isn't finding any... (I posted in the cooling thread as well, but I'm hoping to attract any M14x owners aas well).

    Anyway for general suggestions:
-My budget is relatively open, I'm aiming for a good price/performance ratio, probably ~30 dollars, but I'm willing to spend more if there is a significantly better option.
-Noise isn't really an issue, but of course I'll take the quieter cooler if the performance is about the same (and the price is as well).
-Don't have the measurements of my laptop yet as I don't have it, but I'll try to update
    -No color or brand preference.

[I was thinking about the Cooler Master NotePal U3, just because then I can adjust it, but I've heard the fans aren't very good on it, also I've heard good things about the NZXT Cryo LX, but I don't know how the airflow goes on the M14x.]

Also I'm looking for a desk type cooler, and does anyone have any information on using AC power instead of USB?

    Hi,

I have a M14X and have just bought the belkin laptop cooling stand, Excellent temp reduction when gaming was getting temps of 89-96 now it never goes over 79-81.

Have tried my hardest for an hour and still not raised over 81

The size is perfect for the M14X and I got mine in black so it all looks good.

I bought and tried the targus chill mat but got a refund because the M14X doesn't sit on it securely and the temp reduction was not to noticable to me.

I think the belkin cooling stand works so good on the M14X because of the curve in the base of the cooling stand and you can really feel the air movement.

    Hope this helps.

I have the Nzxt cryo lx for my alienware M17x. As far as I can tell you it does an amazing job. Its got 2 fans (speed controllable). I can see a visible difference when the chill fans are on.
