Cooler Master Notepal Infinite - W880CU

Hey everyone,

Thanks to the excellent advice I got here I've got a W880CU on the way as I type this. However, considering that I want to look after this thing as well as I can I was looking into purchasing a cooler for it. I like the look of the "Cooler Master Notepal Infinite"; it would certainly be nice to able to use the laptop on my lap or in bed without it exploding!

However, I'm unsure as to whether it would fit, or whether it would provide sufficient cooling to make gaming on my lap possible. I know that the W880CU uses the same chassis as the W870CU/NP8760, so if anyone knows whether the cooler fits that, please let me know.

first of all, congrats on the new beast! i too will be ordering my sager 8850 soon! i would definitely recommend the NZXT cryo LX for most of the gaming sager line. they have their main CPU and GPU vents focused towards the rear. it will be a much better match, and produce more efficient results over the infinite-line.

 

While I'd love to get hold of the NZXT model, I simply can't find them anywhere in the UK! Apologies for not mentioning my location in the first post.

 

Just a quick update: having looked at the Notepal Infinite, it won't be big enough for the w880... looks like I'm back to the drawing board :/

I have, yes, but unfortunately the total cost of the cryo and shipping over here would cost ~£80 (125$), which is a little more than I'm willing to pay.

Any other alternatives, anyone?
