    Cooler pad for HP pavillion TX2500z?

    May i know which model of cooler pad normally a tx2500z user used?how effective it is?im looking for a effective cooler for my tx2500z.

    i think is neccessory to have a good one since my tx2500 is hyper hot ><"

    I think the Zalman NC1000 would do be a good choice.

    yea, im actually reading the reviews of NC1000 =)
    but is it really effective for tx2500?sucking out air underneath the laptop is better than blowing in? o_O

    IMO, NC1000 is really efficient because it's aluminum which acts like large heat sink underneath laptop. If you shut the fans off, you can feel the heat on NC1000 and that heat will be gone within 2 minutes after turning on fans (lowest)

    It doesn't mean your laptop will be very cool--just cooler than normal, but I think it shows that NC1000 could suck the heat out pretty good. I will try with my tx2500z if I have a chance :p (I just don't use tx2500z on NC1000 regularly.)

    The best "blower" laptop cooler out there is the NYZT Cyro LX. Quite a beast but costly.

    Well I just had a quick test; this is what I gather from the test.

    Honestly I have no clue what should be a benchmark on this test. Thus I give Red Alert 3 a try [Oh I was crazy when it was red alert 1] I tried around half an hour for each test--you see? I'm not that crazy on this game anymore. I just think Warcraft III still the best strategy game around so far. I'm too old?? ohh :( Ok, back to our test. I separate into 3 situations: TX2500z on the desk, tx2500z on NC1000 but turn fans off--in fact, I didn't connect USB cable at all, and the last is tx2500z on NC1000 + fan on at maximum speed.

    1. barely on the desk [it's different situation a bit; I just run wPrime for stability test and open divX simultaneously, so you might see odd value; I'm sorry.]
    Keyboard side: lowest 90F; touchpad [highest] 99F
    Bottom side: lowest 95F; HDD area 106F; CPU area 121F [mostly around 100-103F]
    2. On NC1000 fan off
    Keyboard side: lowest 93F; touchpad [highest] 99F
    Bottom side: lowest 95F; HDD area 106F; CPU area 118F
    3. On NC1000 fan on
    Keyboard side: lowest 91F; touchpad [highest] 98F
    Bottom side: lowest 91F; HDD area 96F; CPU area 106F

    Just for reference, ambient temp is about 73-75F; it was a long test, so I couldn't control that much :p

    Well, a thing I noticed when using tx2500z is the placement. You have to place tx2500z toward yourself. That's the only way to get the best out of it since air vent of NC1000 is only around 70% of all spaces. As a result, there will be plenty of space on the back, but if I put tx2500z in the middle tend to the back, the area around CPU will stay hot--NC1000 doesn't help at all from my observation.
