    Hi

I tried posting abt this in the sticky topic regarding laptop coolers but I wasnt able to get a response and since I do not have much time left, I am creating a topic for this sorry.

I was planning on getting the CoolerMaster Notepal Infinite for my soon to arrive Dell Studio XPS 16, I wanted to know if neone currently owns this Cooler and whether its suited or works for the SXPS 16.
I am just worried if the fan on the cooler blows air towards the bottom of the laptop (the vents) or just sucks air away from the vent.

Yes there are a lot of other good coolers out there and I have read about some of them, the thing is none of them except the Coolermaster is available in where I stay, so I have to either get this or use some cheap cooler that just has some fan running at 1k rpm..

I hope a Notepal Infinite user or neone who has experience with the it replies soon as I am really running out of time.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

the infinite blows air up, towards the laptop.

u could always go with ebay or newegg.com if there aren't any coolers available locally.

Not sure where you are, OP, but is ordering on the internet a problem where you are? I'd go with houstoned suggestion and order from the 'egg. Got my NZXT Cryo-LX from them yesterday and it is fantastic (no pun intended) ;)

Took my Cooler Master Notepal X1 back to Fry's, nowhere near as good as the Cryo-LX

I guest you're in Vietnam, like me :D. I have two choices: cheap or CoolerMaster cooler. If I order anything online, when it's shipped to the doorstep of my country, it will be unpacked and checked. And finally, a 50% tax will be added.

Actually I am in India, tried a lot of online stores here and the coolers i saw were really sad, I mean unbranded coolers which just looked very cheap.
And ebay has only Coolermaster, Belkin and Antec at the moment and from looking at those Coolermaster looks nice.
I would have to pay a lot more in tax and shipping if i get it from an international online store.

So i can go with ordering the Coolermaster then. ^^
And maybe later when the other coolers come out ill get those too

I don't see why CM Infinite won't be good for your SXPS 16. I've been using this notebook cooler for 8 months and I'm satisfied with it. I don't measure exact temperature differences, but for sure I notice the palm rest above the hard drive becomes cooler. And more important is that this product is solidly built, light, it produces low noise, and it can be used up to my 17" notebook Dell Studio 1735.

As for blowing air towards the bottom of the notebook, that is what notebook coolers supposed to do. Pulling air from notebook's bottom vents will result catastrophic, because notebook's internal fan will have to struggle for air, which will cause its most important cooling the heatsink function cannot be done properly.
