    Hi,
I'm planning to buy a cooler for my XPS 1530. I wanted to go for the Zalman NC cooler but I don't think it's available in India. Coolermaster is available though. Can anybody tell me if Coolermaster matches upto Zalman in terms of cooling. Is it worth buying??

    Thanks.

I don’t know about the specific cooler you are referring to, but make sure that it blows air upwards on to the notebook , since M1530 has intake vents underneath the notebook. Most notebook coolers ae very similar in performance, since Coolermaster is a reputed computer cooling device manufacturer, their cooling pads should be as good as any other.

Are Antec coolers available in India? I have a 2-fan Antec model and I love it. It's normally $39, but I got it on sale for $18 almost two years ago. It still works perfectly. The internal fan in my laptop never even kicks on if I used the cooler!

I like the Coolmax NB-400 cooler that I have for my notebook. It keeps my notebook about 10 or more degrees cooler, and also has a built in 'USB hub in the back. It can run off either AC or USB power, and has 2 pretty big fans in the direct middle of it. I would really recommend this cooler!

The CoolerMaster Infinite would be a good choice, as well as the NZXT CRYO LX(if it's available).

I made my trip to the comp store and there were 3 models of the Coolermaster series V1, X1 and the Infinite. Infinite model costs twice as much as V1 and X1. Is it worth going for Infinite or will V1 or X1 do a good job of cooling my XPS 1530?? Can someone please help me out...

    Thanks..

Ar, sounds about right. I have heard that the Infinite works well in most cases with the XPS m1530, not many coolers do, the m1530 is a weird one with coolers.

Cooler Master is good but they tend to have a noisy fan. Zalman is okay but too bad your country doesn't have it since Zalman is a Korean brand and they don't carry it to all the countries.

I think I would go with Zalman. You should eBay for it.

Except for the fact that the Zalmans doesn't work all that well with his notebook.

I'm using the Notepal Infinite (That shop on the backside of Nehru Place, right? :p) for my laptop. It's a bit small for my laptop, but it keeps the temperatures very low.
