Hello!
I just bought Acer Aspire V3-772G and since I want it to have a nice and comfort life, I bought Quasar cooling pad with following specs:
- fan: 200x200x20mm
- high speed 800 RPM, low speed 500 RPM
- blows into computer
- link to cooling pad: http://www.akasa.com.tw/update.php?...k coolers&type_sub=NB Coolers&model=AK-NBC-32
Thing is, metal casing around some of the buttons is bended. I'm wondering if there's any chance it might be coolers fault or is it something with computer?
Here are 2 pictures of the damage:

Thanks in advance and enjoy,

I can't see anything in the photos?
Cooling pads shouldn't cause issues like the one you're experiencing. -
Idarzoid is correct. No visible damage in the photos you have shown us. Maybe put an arrow to indicate the damage you see. Anyway how does a cooling pad placed under the laptop damage metal on top of the laptop? Can't happen. Unless your computer is producing so much heat that it is melting the metal next to the keys. Highly unlikely as that much heat would fry the internal components first.

I can see it... you have a bulge in the the keyboard key holder board, right? Near the edrftwg keys or thereabouts?
There is no way the cooling pad did that. Check your warranty for the computer.

Hello and cheers for all the replies.
Bob is right, if you check pictures, you can see that especially at R,E, P, Š and Đ if you check top of the button - it is much closer to the metal case than at some other keys. It's like metal casing "inflated" around those buttons. And paranoid as I am about this computer, I thought that mabye since cooling pad is blowing up toward computer, that air might get stuck under metal casing and somehow inflate it. I know it sounds crazy as hell, but still x) Thing is, when I got computer back from service I didn't notice that, so I thought it is something that I did wrong. And the only thing I did was putting laptop on this cooling pad.
As for overheating, I'm constantly monitoring temperature and it's between 37-40 degrees in idle and 68-72 degrees when I'm for example playing Rift on ultra for 2 hours. I'm really new to laptop scene, but as much as I've read that is quite normal.

SO, you think cooling pad "inflating" metal casing around those buttons is kind of a sci-fi?
Thanks and enjoy,

I still can't see any problem even when photo is enlarged. I looks like that was the way that it was stamped out in the factory. To answer your question. NO.
