Hello, everyone.
I have a 12.1" notebook and it produces a considerable amount of heat. I plan on buying a cooling pad for it, I've found a decent one, however I have one question about its structure and efficiency on my notebook.
The opening from which the air is sucked into my notebook is in the center of the notebook. If I were to place the notebook on the cooling pad, then the area in which the air is sucked in will sit exactly in between those two fans of the cooling pad. My guess is that this will do little in keeping the temperature low, since the opening is not directly on top of the fan. So I'm held back from buying it.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good cooling pad? I need one that will feed a full load of air DIRECTLY into the opening on the bottom of my laptop. Again, I have a 12.1" notebook (asus F9S).
Thanks.

Really, what should happen is that a cooler cools the general area around the notebook enabling the fan to take in cool air instead of warm/hot air. That alone will help cooling. If the fan is blowing at other crucial parts of you notebook, CPU, RAM, HDD then thats just as good
I know the NotePal Infinite is a little big you your notebook but take a look at my review anyway and see what you think about the cooler -
thanks for your reply, John.
So pretty much I should expect to have a big change in temperature if the cooling pad isn't directly blowing air into the air-intake area, but it is putting cooler air in the intake's ambient -
I wouldn't say big but yes you will see a decent improvement...for a real BIG change
try undervolting your CPU as well

all right, thanks a lot Johnny!
Would this cooling pad be a lot better than the first one I showed? This one has fans that are more close to the center, than the first cooling pad. -
I recommend the ZALMAN ZM-NC1000.

I would buy that, and I really was considering to buy it, but $50 + tax and S&H is really out of my budget.

Do some chores for someone to get the extra cash.

Haha!
I'm all ready spread out with work, school, and EMS to be doing extra chores.
I was looking at that model, and I wasn't too hapy with the placing of the fan. -
Yeah, it does look pretty weird, but the reviews have been really good for it.
