I currently have a VX mouse but find it a bit small for my very large hands. Size wise how does a G7 compare to a VX or a desktop size mouse? My current desktop mouse is a IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0. It is very large and fits my hand well. I dont necessarily need a "notebook" but rather a wireless one. This leads into my second question about a G7. Do you need to have the battery charger plugged in all the time to use it or can u just use the little wireless adapter on its own? Are there any other large wireless mice that I should consider?

The G7 is about the same as any full size logitech mouse and fits the hand well. You can use the wireless dongle without the charge base but the battery in the G7 will only last about 8 hours of heavy use so you may need to keep the charge base handy so the second battery pack is fully charged and ready for swap.
