Guys i have an Hp HDX which has 20 watts 4 speakers and a subwoofer...i was thinking of getting a Creative 2.1 speakers set which comes with 1 subwoofer and 2 speakers...but the thing is they are also round abt 20 Watts...so will the sound quality be better and louder on the speakers or the notebook speakers?

No idea about those speakers, but if you want a good 2.1 set get the Logitech Z-2300. They're the best 2.1 set. I'm not sure if they'll sound much better than the HDX since (according to the review on here) the HDX is supposed to have great sound quality. Supposedly the only reason to get externals for the HDX is for surround sound.

They are the best is you like muddled, heavy booming bass and no midrange with your 2.1 system. The Logitech z-2300 is fine for gaming, but if you want to use them for music Id look at the Klipsch Promedias or even the Altec Lansings for a 2.1 set.
