im trying to decide between these headsets for gaming:

    1. Creative Fatal1ty Pros (I like the big cups, not sure if mic is boomable (want to adjust it up and out of sight if i dont need it)

    2. Creative Fatal1ty Gaming (mic is removable..big plus, is the sound experience all that different due to the cups not covering entire ear?)

    3. Sennheiser 151 (bundled with assassins creed currently... great deal)

how do the sennheisers measure up with the creatives in terms of sound quality or are the sennheisers better?

Ill be purchasing a Creative xfi notebook express card soon, will i see any benefits from buying the creative brand?

    What are your opinions?

Yeah, go for the sennheisers, they are much better quality than the creative headphones. You should pretty much stay away from any of their X-fi line of products, as they have many problems.

Newegg has some reviews of the product, if you are interested, and its only $47 after shipping.

I think we all know that basing purchasing decisions off "reviews" written by people on Newegg is probably not the smartest thing to do. If you truly want to help someone out, direct them to competent and well-regarded review sites. Not Newegg. Yeesh.

Here's some of the more "classic" (read idiotic) reviews written by Newegg customers:

I got a good laugh at a few of those. Usually I can tell by reading the posts if they are accurate at all.

If you want to test out headphones, side by side, go to a guitar-center, and they will have many types of headphones, which you can test. I personally do not like buying headphones, without knowing what they sound like in person

Sens are popular, and I have always heard steer clear of anything that says "fataility" on it as its usually fan boi stuff and overpriced.
