So I recently purchased a mbp 15.4 inch (LOVE THIS THING ITS AMAZING BYE WINDOWS) and I am looking for a bag for college. I am really interested in the company Crumpler and I was wondering if anyone else has bought from here and has any feedback on their bags. Right now I am currently looking at the Moderate or Considerable Embarrassment bags. Any feedback on them would be great!![]()

The Crumpler bags get a fair amount of noise on the photo websites. They don't just scream "expensive camera gear here -steal me!". A couple of other, somewhat similar, bag lines are Courierware and Billingham.

I don't like the crumpler web site. Too artsy fartsy.

You would need a Considerable Embarrassment for a MBP, Moderate would be too small.
I have a Crumpler camera bag (Five Million Dollar Home), my wife uses a Crumpler bag for a purse, and I have a Crumpler Considerable Embarrassment waiting for a Vosto 1400 whenever that shows up. The camera bag is awesome and very easy to use, I have gotten a lot of compliments on it, and no one assumes its a camera bag at a glance. I have dropped my camera bag a number of times and my Nikon DSLR was unharmed. Like most Crumpler gear, you do not get a lot of extra pockets, zippers, and pockets within pockets, however what you do get is flexible and easy too use. The purse and camera bag are well made and still looks good after ~2 years of use.
I am not going to comment on the notebook bag much just yet since I have not actually used it with a laptop, however it seems very nice. I have a few "normal" laptop bags from work (Targus, Dell OEM, and HP OEM) and I pretty much hate them all. -
I got my Crumpler off EBay (forget the name at the moment - maybe the sheep scarer?) for my Z70Va (15.4")
The good for me is:
a) Seems very well built material-wise - I've had it a couple of years now and I can imagine it going for a much longer time yet.
b) It's comfortable to wear
c) I would say it does a very good job of protecting my laptop from bumps, random rainy weather (not that I've left my laptop in the bag sitting outside in the rain, just referring to when I've gotten caught in a sudden rain shower and had to run for home)
The not-so-good:
a) Basically my only major gripe is that it's not so easy to get in/out of. The laptop itself is easily accessible (once the bag is off your back), but anything else in there really requires you to stretch open the bag quite wide. There is a pretty good amount of space in there for more stuff at the bottom, outside of the laptop flap, but just not easy to get to. For this reason, I use my crumpler when I just need to carry around my laptop, accessories, and a few odds and ends. I did not want to use it for uni (stuffing books in there would not have worked well at all) -
I have a crumpler photo backpack with laptop pouch and I can recommend these bags as some of the best out there. The quality is very high, firstly they don't look your average type laptop / photo bag, the material which they are made of is really strong and waterproof (though I've never used mine in the rain yet) and with my backpack there's so many pockets and sort-of secret ones. The zips are ultra rugged, they ain't gonna split or fall apart and there's more than enough padding in the bag that you should not need to worry if ya drop it! I kinda like the fact that the zips are a little hard to get into, cos if I'm wandering around carnival I know some theifing little toe rag can't get his hands around my gear!
