I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get a Crumpler Very Busy Man bag for my eMachines M6811 (15.4" widescreen.) Would it be a wise choice? (I would get the smaller Wack-O-Phone, but I'm almost positive that sleeve would be too small.)
If these aren't right, does anyone have any suggestions for a good, protective, student-friendly bag for that size?
Thank you so much!

Crumpler is one of those who won't send up packs for review, so I don't have personal experience with them. If you want a larger bag, I have the Tom Bihn Brain Bag right now, that will certainly fit the notebook and a ton of other stuff. A more affordable solution would be the Mobile Edge packs

Thanks so much, the Mobile Edge looks great! I looked at the Brain Bags, but they did seem too expensive. Now the question is between backpack style and messenger style...

I forgot to ask (if you don't mind my doing so):
Do you recommend the backpack style or the messenger bag style as far as safety for the computer is concerned? I can't seem to find any info on this anywhere else. Thank you! -
The crumpler messenger bags are very nice. There is a brand new line which you might want to consider. The considerable embarrassment (I know- their names are weird...) fits up to a 15"- so you'd have to check the dimensions; there is a larger version as well. It is less padded than the wack-o-phone line, in that the latter has a padded sleeve as well as the entire case being padded, while the considerable emb. has a nicely padded sleeve. However, the considerable emb. has a nice interior capacity for books and the like, and only weighs 28 oz (versus 48 oz. for the wack-o-phone). I just received it, and I am impressed. Weight was a big consideration for me, and there is enough padding as long as you don't fling it.

one more suggestion- there is an Ebayer who was wonderful to deal with (Photoco)- not only are they very helpful with providing measurements, etc, if there is a problem, they work very hard to resolve it. If you decide on Crumpler, I would definitely check their prices out. I was recently just very impressed with their service, so I figured I'd pass the rec. along.

One more suggestion try the JanSport Organizer. A very nice backpack with a lot of compartments and pockets. Have a special protective laptop compartment. I have it already 1 year and it is very nice. i bought it from www.ebags.com
