So, i ahve it plugged in with the wall plug it came with, and the fans are on, but im not getting any temp diff at all...
and the fans are not what i expected them to run at, it does not seem like the speed or air a normal 80mm fan fro ma desktop would do..

    suggestions?

is the fan speed controller all the way up? If it's not that then it's probably a defective Cryo LX

have you jacked up the voltage to 12v (with a 3rd party variable switch DC adapter)?

alternatively, swap out stock fans with something aftermarket.

You might also want to use some rubber spacers. I purchased some 1.8 rubber spacers from Home Depot and that really made a difference. I think that it was not getting enough air flow with the laptop plastered right on top of the unit. Hey, and the spacers make it 'stick' to the cooler better as well!
