Purchased a Latitude D630 and I am beginning my hunt for accessories.

Currently, I definitely want to get a cooler, backpack, lock, and wireless mouse, in addition to the surge protector that I already own. So recommendations on any of these products would be helpful.

Looking at a Vantec LPC - 430 for its 8-in-1 card reader (does anyone know if it takes XD cards?).

Buying a Logitech VX Nano is tempting, especially since I have a Fry's gift card. But I really just want a decent wireless mouse with a small receiver.

Tempted to buy a docking station, but that is purely an optional accessory.

Don't know much about locks and backpacks, though. For a backpack, looking for something that can take the laptop and handle at least a book or two.

Any other accessory recommendations are appreciated. I am a college student that is going out of state, so I would like this stuff to be able to sit in either my backpack or check-in bag and still survive baggage handling and what not.

    Thanks!

I'm also buying a laptop for college. This isn't really an accessory, but I'm definitely eying a printer for my desk. I just can't imagine that I won't be doing things late at night. Therefore, I need the printer so I'll be able print it within my own room and not wait for the library to open to get what I need.

I have looked at printers, but since I will be travelling back and forth several times a year, I can't justify the weight and space it would take up.

Checked into the Vantec cooler, it does not take XD cards, found both good and bad reviews, so I would like to hear from current owners as well as of those of Targus coolers.

Purchased Logitech R-10 speakers, so far, they have a pretty good sound quality after testing a variety of music (no computer sounds yet), the only problem I have found with them is that when I plug into the headphone port with the headphones that I have, I can hear a noticable amount of speaker/static - like noise unrelated to the music. I tested this at different volumes of both the speakers and my cd/mp3 players and it annoys me enough to where I don't want to stay plugged in, any solutions would be helpful but I guess you get what you pay for.

Also would like to hear any recommendations on air/car adapters since I'll be going back and forth at least 4 times a semester.

For the Air/Car adapters you should have gotten it when you ordered your Dell. Dell has the SLIM Air/Car/Travel 65W adapter.

Call them up and say you forgot to order it, and hopefully they will give you the same price as the upgrade.
