Posted in the Official Laptop Cooler thread a little over a week ago and got no replies, so if anybody has any suggestions/advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Looking for some advice on a laptop cooler for an HP dv6t Select Edition laptop. I've been looking into the Zalman NC3000u but would love some suggestions from you experts or anyone who has this laptop and has had success with cooling it.

    1) Budget: Less than $50

    2) Is noise an issue for you? Are you annoyed but noticeable noise? The quieter the better but not a deal-breaker.

    3) http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X134...impressions/

The length is about 14.5-15" and the width is around 9.5"

    4) Do you have a color preference? black or silver preferably but again not a deal-breaker

    5) Any brands you would like to avoid? Nope

    Thanks so much in advance

Sorry for the old bump. But I too would like to know what the OP got or what I could possibly get. Same exact scenario as the OP... Willing to pay $50 for a NC3000U but honestly wouldn't like to spend more then $30...

    Here's the bottom.

I would say, Zalman nc 2000, Zalman nc 1000, Nzxt Cryo or Antec p200.
All are great coolers. I use the nc2000
