I burn a lot of DVD's and when i play the DVD on my toshiba DVD player, it plays fine, but when i play it on another DVD player, it skips and pauses? Does it have something to do with the DVD player, the discs, burn speed, or the software? Can someone help me please?

I use SONY DVD+R discs (4.7 GB, 1x-16x Speed), HP DVD840e burner, and Nero 8.

Most likely a problem with that DVD player, but things can be improved by writing at a lower speed or using a different brand / type (DVD-R) of disks.

For videos usually DVD-R is preferred over DVD+R, because that is sort of like the “official” DVD video disk format. However, most DVD players nowadays support both formats.
