Ok before everyone jumps on me for buying this total piece of crap!!!!(that is my official review) i needed to spend 8 more bucks to get free overnight shipping  so i bought this POS. although this is my first notebook cooler, and i have no reference to base this on but, i think i should be able to feel the air coming off the 3 fans? also i have a targus 4 port mini usb adapter that lights up blue when something is plugged into that port, the cooler doesn't light up the port? and i have checked, it does light up using mouse/game pad/speakers. is the cooler not drawing enough amps to light up the usb adapter? the 3 green lights on the POS light up. and is .30 CFM enough to feel the fans blowing air? i see them turning. i haven't run any test to check the cpu temp, I'm having a hard time finding monitoring software for vista 64 bit, hw monitor-64 bit is buggy for some reason, so any links to that would be help full. i do plan on getting the much recommended Zalman NC1000 unless all coolers run like this one...one more ? is thing faulty, r just that weak? i have a Asus G50 A2, 64 BIT. and i haven't had the time to game on it like i want to, but i got some ME time coming and i wanna make sure i got my 2000.00 computersome good cooling. WOW i just realized i'm kinda pissed for blow 8 dollars on this thing
    thanks

you may want to buy a ac power adaptor, which takes the 110V AC down to 5V DC or 12V DC, (or whatever voltage your fan cooler uses)
The usb hub most likely cannot power all three fans at the same time.

For monitoring the temperatures, you can use coretemp, hwmonitor, everest, hdtune, rivatuner and speedfan.
I personally use coretemp and rivatuner, but you can use other mentioned software.

0.30 cfm is barely any air at all.
    or did you mean 30cfm?

i have plugged it in directly to comp, same result. but Harper2.0 thanks for your input/ suggestions, but there is no way I'm spending anymore money on this turd....lol. i see the zalman in my future, and I'm so disappointed in this thing i will spend the next year getting a full refund for this thing (shipping included) my defense a cooler should cool the notebook not just raise it 1/2 in of the surface....this a total POS....

I wish I read this article before purchasing 3 of these POS's. I am using one under my DVR to raise it up and plugged it into the front usb port on my dvr. This would not move a piece of paper if you dropped it on top of it.
