Which is the best?

I got the G5. It is a really nice mouse. Up to 2000dpi and you can adjust the settings to store 5 different dpi settings.
Tim -
I just picked up the G5 from Dell for $30 after shipping. Compared to the Creative Fatality 1010, it is much smoother. The adjustable weights are implemented much better as well. And as Tim said, you can adjust 5 different DPI settings and change them on the fly.
I would get the G5 just because of price. Here is a link and the coupon code.

get the deathadder
laser technology is old now
i had the G5, but it sort of sucked at low sesitivities
all laser mice do
currently i own the Microsoft Habu, and its perfect
it fits perfectly, but being a laser mouse, its still not perfect at lower sensitivites
the deathadder has latest infrared 3g technology and it totally rocks
i wanted to get it but it wasnt available in the market so i got the habu -
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
G5 laser mouse, and it doesn't matter if laser technology is "old".
The G5 laser mouse has more DPI than the deathadder. It's also cheaper I believe if you buy it from dell. Cause I saw the price of $24, cause it was on sale. -
a dpi difference of 200 isnt exactly gonna make one better than the other. i got my deathadder yesterday and its nice! feels good, nice ergonomics and if ur all about specs n stuff, the new IR in the deathadder is better according to reviews and comparisons.
now I like logitechs, ive had them ever since i got into computers but the deathadder is the new king of mice. it wasnt easy to do though, there is alot of tough competition and the G5 and Habu are great mice
Also have a creative 1010 that i got from amazon for dirt cheap, heard alot of their left buttons die within a few weeks. -
The DeathAdder is slick and very ergonomic, it was one of my options when I was trying to purchase a gaming mouse.
The new G5 [w/ 2 thumb button] is nice as well.
These 2 mice have been pegged to be the best gaming mice on the market... it was a tie in a number of review websites.
The main things that I did not like about the G5 is the ugly rust color and the braided cloth cord, which can easily get snagged on something to ruin the cord [in looks and the cord's protection]. I know, my friend got it snagged at a LAN party, now it [the cord] looks like an messed up looking shoelace. -
I've never used the Deathadder, but I do know that I love my G5. I like the adjustable weighting on it, and the adjustable DPI. It makes it usable under Linux and Windows on a notebook, because you don't have to constantly change your generic mouse sensitivities. And I like the braided cord because it slides easier than the normal rubber coverings over many more surfaces, and gets caught less often, and with much less disastrous consequences
Gotta hate shaving a wire on an expensive mouse. I've never installed the Logitech software, and have no reason to. It works great for me out of the box.
-
Ive found the razer software suprisingly simple, small and ya gotta wonder why theyd even bother including it in a full size CD since its less than 10MB!
-
Using the DeathAdder right now while I await delivery of the Logitech VX. Sleek, nice curves, perfect control and the logo glows on and off. Ooooh pretty
Also effortless driver installation and update of firmware. If all devices were like this, we would call this world heaven
-
why are you gettin a VX? and for how much? yeah i like my deathadder too, best snake ever
-
The free mouse that came with my laptop died and I need an "office mouse". The scroll wheel on the VX intrigues me. I want to leave the DeathAdder for gaming
Plus I have the money -
The Death Adder's optical technology is older than the laser tech, but that doesn't keep it from being superior (currently). Read up at esreality, laser doesn't cope well with high sensitivity. Really, you should be looking at Death Adder vs MX518. I've had both, and prefer the shape and finish of the Death Adder, but both are very good mice.
-
yup, Laser did not matter to me.
I chose the MX518 (rare carbon fiber ASUS edition) when it came down to getting the Death Adder or the Logitech MX518.
Deathadder or G5?
