I currently use a RAT 7 and absolutely love the comfort, but I dislike the whole gimmicky design (SNIPER BUTTON ZOMG ZOMG!!!!1) so I'm getting rid of it and I'm in the market for a new mouse and I'm leaning towards the Razer Deathadder for it's known reliability and good design.
Originally, I was turned off by it's glowing lights and whatnot, until I found the black edition which has no LEDs, doesn't look gimmicky, and is large and comfortable.
My question is, does anybody know if it's possible to debrand the Razer logo from the palm area?
I've debranded lots of things (sugar cubes anybody?) but I couldn't tell if it was paint or something else on the Deathadder black edition.
If not, refer me to another mouse that is simple, medium/large, and good for gaming.

the black edition's logo looks to be painted on, but its application is smooth. hard to tell how it's on there, really. it's a great mouse, and the primary reason i'm using it is because it doesn't have all the led's and it has the rubber side panels. the logo is hardly noticeable anyways...you may just end up ruining the mouse if you try to debadge/debrand it due to the material they use for the top portion of the mouse.

I think you'll like the SteelSeries Xai. It is as simple and basic as mouse designs get, and uses the Avago S9500 sensor (considered to be the best imaging sensor you can find in laser mice).
The Sniper button on the MadCatz Cyborg RAT7 was actually a very useful, practical feature that is actually pretty innovative. All other mice manufacturers do on-the-fly DPI switching with DPI adjustment buttons. The RAT7 is the first mouse that put it into a hold-down-and-release toggle. -
you can turn off the lights with the razer driver on the normal deathadders. but i dont know about debranding it.

I use Mamba and it's like Deathadder, the brand is just like some paint pasted on it and you can debrand it.
May I ask why you debrand things is it to make it low profile/not gimmicky? -
It makes it feel like it's mine, genuine. -
I have a Mamba with the Razer logo painted on rather than illuminated, and honestly, you'd never notice it unless you're looking right at it and have a good light source. It's very subtle.

I have both the Deathadder and the Mamba, both seem to be painted on, but you cannot really feel it and it does not even feel as though it's there, so I'm a little curious about why you feel that it gets in the way since the Razer logo is the only reason you get their mice
Debranding Razer Deathadder Black edition? or refer me to another mouse
