This is a question for all those who have a Defcon 1 lock. I have had one (the 3 digit model) for the last few months and have found that the motion sensor seems to be overly sensitive. My laptop and the alarm sits on my desk (a really big solid desk) at work and it will start chirping if I bump the desk or even if I type too hard on the keyboard. It then takes a few seconds for it to settle down. Is this "normal"? It's hard to keep the motion sensor enabled because I get so many false alarms.

No one else with a Defcon1, eh?

I had one, its pretty sensitive... so just disable it (or not use it) until you have to leave the notebook for a few moments.

I just use it without the motion sensor most of the time, unless I am away for an extended period. I thought that perhaps something was wrong with mine, like the motion sensor is loose or something, since my sister got it for me off eBay.

I have one but never use it as I only use my laptop at work and its in a locked office. It was on sale in the day so I figured what the hay, it will come in handy. -
The problem is that I am not always at my desk. Our building (not our room) had a rash of break-ins in the last year, so it would be nice to always have the motion sensor active. One fellow had his Macbook stolen while he was momentarily out of the office, while other places have had their doors ripped open with crowbars.
