I got a Targus Defcon Lock and more often than not, the hooking mechanism on the lock will get stuck in a position. It takes some shaking and playing with the lock to get the hook out of that position. I find this very annoying when I'm trying to get the lock inside the laptop. Is this just a problem with my particular Targus lock, or a widespread problem? Should I just bring it back to the store and get an exchange?
Also, there is a ton of slack between the Targus lock and my Dell e1405. Even with the SecureSpacers that Targus provides, the problem is not solved. Is there anyway to fix this?
I got this lock only because it was $10 after a $10 rebate. The lock is so flimsly and horribly built, I can't believe Targus sells it for $30-$40 regularly.

mines alright so it could just be a dodgy product

yea, mine takes a little work to get the lock out, but i think its just added security. when i plug it in, i turn it a little, so i know its in there. i dont use it anymore though. im in a dorm, and i lock my door, so i think its ok. but i know i wont be thinking that if someone breaks in or something
