I'm going to get a bluetooth mouse for my new laptop, and I think I'm going to get either the Dell 5-button mouse or the Microsoft 500 Bluetooth Mouse.

The prices are quite similar but the Dell one generally seems to be a bit cheaper (I wouldn't order it direct from Dell, it's on 3 week+ delivery). Honestly I prefer the design of the Dell but I was wondering if there's anything else I should know about these mice to make a decision, such as whether one is more precise than the other, holds the bluetooth connection better, etc. Alternatively, if there's any other bluetooth mice in this sort of price range I should be considering, let me know.

    Thanks. :)

I have a XPS 1530, and I have the MS Bluetooth 5000, I think it's an awesome BT Mouse...It has worked very well for me since I've had it (9 months). I like it because it's smaller, and the ease of use when using either desktop or out-and-about! And, my 1530 accepted it w/out any issues! :D

I would prefer the MS BT 5000 over the Dell BT Mouse...FTW lol.

And, yes...you can find it cheaper elsewhere, than buying direct from Dell.

Here is a linky for it at Amazon:

    Hope that helps,

    Cin ;) :)

    Thanks Cin'!

Maybe I'll go for the Microsoft then! One question - how do you find the size? I'm used to using 'normal' sized desktop mice and I know this is a bit smaller. Not sure how I'll like the transition.

    Hey there, no prob!
It is smaller in size...and I don't mind it...as I have small hands! ;) :) Great for when using out-and-about also!

I have a regular sized mouse at work I use, and there is no trouble going from that all day long, to my BT Mouse at home :D

But I think it would work well either way for you! It's a great BT Mouse ;)

If you get it, and you don't like it...you can return it!

I say go for it! ;) :) lol....

    Cin ;) :)

I have the bluetooth 5000 too, quite nice, I use it for gaming too and the only moment where the cursor don't react immediately to the mouse inputs is when I leave the computer alone for like an hour other than that rare circumstance I love it.
