    Hey guys,

I am in the process of returning my messenger bag that I ordered with my notebook which I found to be impratical for my use and I want to get the Dell Nylon Backpack now.

Can anyone post some pictures of the inside and all the compartments with a notebook inside the bag?

Here ya go. I also have an inspiron e1505/6400, and this backpack works well. It does get a little too heavy once you start putting in 2+ textbooks in along with the laptop, although in most cases you probably wont need to have that many textbooks at one time :)

The padded straps and backside are quite comfortable

On the front there is a small pocket at the bottom, and on each side there is a waterbottle type holder, then a small pocket beside it.

At the top of the front is a cd/music player pocket with a hole for headphones

Here is the first of the 2 big pockets. I has enough room for a few notebooks and a textbook, there is also an organizer for pens/pencils etc.....

Here is the main pocket where the padded laptop pouch is, as you can see. In this pocket, again you can fit a few notebooks and a textbook or 2, even with the laptop in, there are a few more little organizer pouches in this compartment as well.

So far I've been happy with this backpack, very comfortable. Hope this helped :)

Wow that's very nice post, thanks a lot! As soon as Dell gives me my money back for the carrying case I will purchase this! It looks really good :D.

Nice for a first post :).

Does it come with Rocket Boosters? :D

Also, to me it screams I have a laptop in my shiny bag! But if your not going for the suttle look I bet it's a great bag.

:p it looks like that in the pictures, but thats just the flash, its actually a slightly darker silver colour with a tad of taupe and it isnt too reflective, nothing too flashy, from a distance you cant really tell its a laptop backpack anyway, the dell button symbol things are a matte finish too so you dont really notice them either

Yeah that's okay, my bag is bright red/gray but it's a hydration pack. Not a laptop looking backpack. Sounds like a great bag though.

I, too, would recommend picking up a pack that looks a little less techy. Check out ebags.com.

If it doesn't have a compartment for the notebook you can always get a sleeve.

The dell nylon backback is a rebranded samsonite. I like it, but as some people have said it does screem laptop bag, unless its fully stuffed then its okay.

Targus makes decent bags. I personally hate the style of notebook backpacks, but I don't have to worry about that because all you need is just a sleeve to use any kind of bag. Don't limit yourself, choose a bag that has your style and I recommend not getting something that screams I HAVE NOTEBOOK IN HERE! That way it doesn't catch the theif's eye.

I see, I really don't want to get a Dell bag even though it's a really nice bag. Since it says "DELL" right on it, so maybe a Targus is a bit more safe to get, oh and also cheaper :).

Have you ever thought of using a bag you already own?

Yes I have, but the bag I own is cheap, and it gets filled up pretty easily. I also do prefer having a seperate section for the notebook because I am a bit careless with my books and stuff so I might hit the notebook too often if it's in the way.

Well a sleeve can serve that same purpose.

I use a Roots bag that has a laptop pocket. Works fine.
And it doesn't scream that I have a laptop in there.
