I have a old Inspiron 8200. The place where you plug in the power adaptor is broken so it can't power on through AC power. Just wondering can a Port Replicator or Docking Station power up the laptop with its Power?

It should. The power mains accept system power through your AC, the battery, and the docking port.

So you're saying the Juice coming for the Port Replicator will power on my laptop and charge the laptops battery?
