Any opinions on which is better? The LG is certainly cheaper and it has HDMI which is a plus. Neither have speakers :(, Dell has height adjustment. I heard that the Dell has a very heavy Anti-Glare coating though. I would like it as light as possible for the most sharp and colorful screen.

I found the Dell for $271.15 w/ free shipping, and the LG is currently on sale at Best Buy for $199.

I have the u2211H not the u2312, although they do have basically the same panel albeit in different sizes (and I believe this year's models have LED backlights). The coating on the screen is matte which I prefer to glossy, so you can use it with the lights on in your room without annoying reflections. I don't find the coating annoying at all; it is about the same as the benq 24 inch monitor that I have.
The dell monitors don't have HDMI but this is irrelevant because you can get a dvi to hdmi cable on monoprice for a couple of dollars that will do the exact same thing (as HDMI is electrically DVI but with sound as well).

Honestly speakers on monitors suck, so I don't know why you would want a monitor that has speakers.

I haven't heard many good things about the LG stand; apparently it has a fair amount of wobble as most plastic stands do, and there is only tilt adjustment. The Dell stands are wonderful; they are incredibly sturdy and do not flex at all, and I am pretty sure a large portion of them is made out of metal, not plastic like with 90% of the other monitor stands out there. You also get height adjustment which could be very useful, or not important. There is also a pivot mode to rotate the screen 90 degrees which very few other stands can do.
