I ordered a Mobile Edge notebook sleeve with my new laptop last week. I was told the sleeve usually ships within one to two weeks. That was fine. My computer arrived today ahead of the sleeve, again fine. When I checked the estimated ship date for the sleeve today it is listed at July 16 - more than three weeks after I placed the order!
I don't mind waiting a little longer for the sleeve but I'm miffed that the estimated ship date is more than three weeks after the order was made when they advertise the ship time as "one to two weeks." It's partially my fault for not checking that ship date on the initial confirmation but whatever if a product is on back order don't BS me when it's actually going to be available.
My question is this: should I change my order for a product that's currently available or should I sit tight confident that most products arrive well before the estimated ship date?

I have been on the phone with Dell the last few days about a notebook that I ordered. I squeezed Free Next Day Air out of them and they tell you they are going to do all they can to get it to you more wuickly. I dont know if its true but my shipping date went from 7/2/2007 to 6/27/2007. So we will see I guess, I will keep you posted. But try it.
