Pulsar will not connect at all to my 5920G. I've updated the bluetooth stack.

I have had mine working under all 3 of my operating systems on my c90 (vista home premium x86, vista ultimate x64, windows xp x86)

You may very well have a hardware issue with your bluetooth in your laptop if you cant get it fixed with driver updates.

Opening my little BT icon in my taskbar and hitting "about" gave me this dialog.

The only thing I can think of to add is that not all BT transmitters are the same, it requires certain protocols to use certain functions. Like stereo bluetooth requires A2DP, This is the very reason I am going to upgrade my cell phone. My old phone my Sony W600 has bluetooth and I have used it on several occasions with my hands free headset (mono not stereo for voice not music) and I have used it to transfer files too and from my laptop but I can not use my headphones with it. My new phone will be the Sony W580 and it has the newer bluetooth protocols and supports stereo headphones.

I got it to work after installing the drivers from HP. However, the headset vol is very low even on the loudest setting.

Remember to turn up the volume in your application first all the way, then turn up the windows volume. Turn up your headset volume last.
