My friend wants to buy a new gaming mouse.

Hes a relatively "low-ish" sensitivity user and wants to know the differences that set appart these 2 great mice.

    Suggestions?

The deathadder owns. It was made for people who like to use low sensitivity. The only major difference between the two is price. The G9 is way overpriced where as you can get the deathadder for 40 bucks. I was lucky and got it for 26 however.

Who ever mentioned a G9? The Deathadder is generally the same price as the G5.

Well if he is Low Sensi player then Deathadder is better.

G5 is for Gaming Enthusiasts who like to experiment with weight balance etc. and it is a more generalised design which fits anyone.

Deathadder is for more of professional gaming & those who are usually sponsored due to its high performance.

the sensor doesnt skip at high speeds.

For any other info check out the Gaming Mouse guide as Sticky above.

And if u got a question on MousePads then let us know

What does the DeathAdder have to do with being sponsored? You plug the words "Pro" and "Sponsored" in half of your posts.

Does the mouse really matter?? It all comes down to the gamers skill and comfort. As long as you don't get anything to crappy crappy. I would think that the surface you're mouse is on would be more important

Go and ask people on Gaming forums and they will tell u technical details on Deathadder.

    See this: http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1334185

The reason all Professional gamers use Razer is because they are sponsored....thats what i meant...it has nothing to do with performance of Deathadder.

anyway I have broken Logitech in 3 months and finally went for Razer mice...didnt disappoint.

He'd (the OP) rather go for the new updated MX518 with 1800 DPI instead of G5.....

G5 is as expensive as Deathadder with a much inferior performance for Low Sensitivity players. It does skip (yes i tried it)..and the surface gathers sweat & becomes slippery.

Deathadder aint perfect. ..it has some issues:

I advocate superior products & thats not wrong. oh and i myself use it.

Ya ya ..Gamers skills.... tell me how many CS players play with $10 optical mouse.

half of the time they skip & go crazy.

Now Ronaldinho can score a goal playing barefoot..it doesnt mean he doesnt need the Nike Metaral vapors. ..they boost his performance & let him have a better grip on the field.

First-person games do require a Gaming-grade mouse because your average $10 mouse cannot process the surface tracking at high speeds...its just build for surfing & exploring.

Well yeah I said as long as its not too cheap.

I use a Logitech MX400 Laser Mouse, but I probably could use this cheap lil Dell Logitech Mouse at work just as well
