I have some grime that builds up on the side of my mouse every so often. I have a razer abyssus (came with the G53). This is kind of odd cause I've never had the grime build up on the side of my other mouses. Are my hands dirty or does the side of the mouse just attract grime and aggregate it more efficiently than my other mouses? It kind of builds up quickly and having to get a wipe and clean the grime off gets kind of annoying ever now and then. Any ideas on how I can prevent the grime build up?

If it's the glossy black plastic, yeah, that's pretty much a grime and fingerprint magnet. I don't know why any companies these days use it. It looks cool, but only if it's never touched. I used to have a laptop whose entire surface, including the palmrest and touchpad, was made of that glossy plastic, and I had to polish it every day or it would look like crap.

Areas that get touched enough to deposit oil, grime, and dead skin from your hand but not touched enough to rub that away get a build up of that stuff.

If you really care about PREVENTING it, then wash your hands well before you use your mouse.

Personally, I think doing that is more trouble than it is worth. I would just let it build up, then clean it with Windex and a paper towel

    True that! :D

And, OP even the Eyeglass Cleaner Wipes are an easy way to clean up your mouse. : ) I have used these, works nicely & you can get them cheaper then the link I added at places like Walmart, Target etc. ;)
