I'm already getting my wireless signal through 2 floors so I wouldn't want to get a wireless mouse that further interferes with the internet signal. Any problems there?

I use a Logitech V450 that uses the 2.4GHz receiver and I have not experienced any issues between the mouse and my wireless connection.
-
No there wont be any interference, your fine.
-
yea i use a logitec v200 wireless that is 2.4 ghz and no interference
-
no interference with my wireless router or my cordless phones for that matter. I would think there might be, but i'm sure the engineers have it figured out.

there is SOME sort of interference with my vx revolution and my wireless router, but only under certain situations, maybe someone here might know a way around.
during regular web browsing on my laptop, its all fine and dandy, but because I have a harddrive conncted to an NAS connected to the router, it acts as a network drive and when accessing or transfering files back and forth on that hdd, my mouse becomes almost unusable, a lot of lag and inconsistent movement. -
^^
They are using the same frequency band. They will, by definiton, interfere with each other. It may be noticeable, and it may not. I'd recommend against it. That's another argument in favor of bluetooth. It's made to have a "packetized" interface that won't interfere with other devices running on the same frequency, etc. -
Outrigger as a thought you might want to change the channel on your router to either 1 or 11. This might help.

Using a v400 thats 2.4ghz and a 2.4ghz Panasonic phone, neither effect the WiFi. Probrably different bands.

I also experienced unresponsive mouse when transferring large files from the network. I don't think the mouse will really cause problem to your wireless network, but if you use your wireless network intensively it will occasionnaly affect your mouse.

i also have this problem, i have tried changing channels to no avail. if anyone has a solution, i would greatly appreciate it if they would tell us.

Bluetooth can interfere but it has very limited range. It was designed this way to be more secure because it is generally a very unsecure method of transfer. It is still possible to cause interference though.
Other than changing channels on the wireless device and/or the router, there is nothing you can do other than move the devices around and find what works best. -
My VX Revolution would skip mildly, scarcely noticeable but it is short and harmless in terms of performance.
Do 2.4 GHz mice interfere with wireless internet?
