I recently got a HP Photosmart C4250 All in one printer/scanner/copier. All was well until one night while printing a document, it paper jams. Then the whole printer just shuts down. I carefully pulled the paper out and tried again, but it wouldn't turn on again  . I tried to replug everything but it still doesn't work. Do I need a new printer now? My laptop still detects the printer but when I try to print something, it says error.

You have turned the printer off-and-on again, right?

A paper jam should not require a new printer... I would fool with it a bit more.

Are you getting any specific error messages?

Yeah you should fool around with it a little more, it's just a paper jam.

Is there a way to reset the printer? like a button or holding down the power button or something?
Open up the cover and see the inside of the printer and see if there is still something that is causing a problem

The thing is, that's what I thought too. It's just a paper jam. Nothing seems to be working even though it looks okay.. When I press the on button, it usually has light on the screen. But now there's nothing. Was the printer shutting off to prevent any damage? or something much more serious? I dont see any reset buton this thing..Anyone who has this printer knows what's happening?
