    Do independent shops do component level repairs on laptop boards?

    What other reason is there for dead laptop boards to be going for more than pocket change on eBay? Many are going for more than $20 shipped.

    Some people think they can repair them. Depends what went bad on them. Sometimes they are mis represented as bad and the board is actually fine.
