I have a travel mousepad that I use in case I happen to bring my notebook on a glass table. It's thin enough so that I can put it between the screen and keyboard.

At work i use one because its here. At home i dont because i have a really cheap mouse and a table i dont care about. If i had a nice comp desk i would go for it.

I use a cloth pad + 3M gel wrist rest. I find it much more comfortable with the two, plus, the teflon feets don't worn out on the cloth pad.

I use one with a gel wrist-rest to prevent dirt collecting on the mouse feet. I pack a thin, simple mouse pad with me if I bring my mouse with me on-the-go (rare), for the same reason.

Lol! I did. I could tell it was of higher quality though, and again, I would probably like it more if i got used to it.

Wow, that was quick. Good thing I ordered mine the day it was released...literally, within an hour of the notification on Facebook. :p

You can still "pre-order" one on Amazon, although that's a silly choice of wording considering it's been out for a little while now.

It depends. At work I have a nice desk so i use a pad, but at home I do not unless Im setting up at the dining room table.

I use a mouse mat with my desktop PC at home but it would be an unnecessary additional hassle to carry one round with my laptop - not impossible but it would just be another thing to risk misplacing when out and about.

I let the edge of my foamy bottomed mouse pad hang over the edge of my desk. Becomes a wrist cushion of sorts. I think it tracks better than some desk surfaces too. Laser mice FTW!

I use one at my desk. Just a generic one. I really want to try one of those wrist rest ones though.

More than providing a smooth surface it protects the finish of the desk.

Yes, that benefit is incontrovertible. And I agree the wrist pads are quite comfy.

Treat yourself to a good mouse pad, there are plenty of pretty huge ones out there. :)

fUnc F30.R Large. Great feeling surface. Just enough texture and resistance for accuracy. My Deathadder (1st Gen) and Logitech Anywhere MX work great on it.

Thinking of getting another when I get my lappy.

I have a mousepad on my desk but I often just use the desk surface since it's much easier/more convenient. Though I have to agree with MidnightSun that the feet does collect dust much more easily and can often be a pain to clean.
