Do you use your phone if it has bluetooth capabilities to control your laptop?
If so what do you use a java program for your phone or just the normal firmware that it came with?
I use my Sony Ericsson K750i with its original phone firmware to control my laptop.

I use my Nokia 6600 (Symbian) to control my PC not notebook. I use it as a winamp remote, desktop control, it also display what song you listening to, it shows entire winamp library and the interface is beautiful. I usually watch movies laying in bed, so it's an excellent thing to pause the movie, raise the volume/lowering it.
The program I use is called control freak by mtvoid. it runs on symbian. And on PC it runs as a winamp plugin which is nice.
It's become one of those "I can't live without" software -
Nice sutheep. I thought about the Nokia 6600 before buying my Sony Ericsson, but went for the Sony as its better, I am not much of the symbian even though it does have its advantages.
My phone connects via the bluetooth in my laptop, and there is an option in my phone called Remote/ Desktop Control, which I use. The screen on my phone's trackpad can then be used to control the notebook. I can launch Itunes or any other program using my phone and it also displays the song name. I havent tried it with movies yet, got to do that - never thought of it, thanks lol.

I use my laptop to control other people's laptops and desktops
I love controlling the family PC when ppl use it. when they search for something in google, i press random letters so it looks like they made a spelling mistake and I once put on some music with the volume full blast lol -
Ask some women. When I was single, there was a lot of girls who said they wouldn't touch me with one, so they must know where to get them. -

well, my phone's bluetooth is useless and it can't run java, so no.

I have SonyEricsson K700i and use it just like you Aer0sense. It's nice you can move the mouse with the joystick.
I have a folder in my phone named "Applications".I wonder if I can find some java program that can do more than the original firmware stuff. -
Now you people have to explain this to me. I have SE S700i so I have bluetooth and so does my notebook. But i dont understand how you can control you notebook with you cell, is there a special program or something?

oh, very interesting setup you guys have.
just one question. what kind of phone are capable of doing this (obviously bluetooth enabled). but it also seems like the phone needs to at least be able to run java?
i'm gonna get a new phone when in korea, so this is something i'm definitely gonna look into.
