    Hi,

I am looking for the next laptop, that will replace my current desktop and laptop. But finding a great laptop seems pretty easy, but I really need a great docking station or similar, so it can replace the desktop as well.

I am not sure if the product I am looking for even exists yet, so here I am - asking. :)

It needs to handle at least 3 external displays (DVI/Displaylink/whatever) with resolutions of at least 2560 x 1440, and just work (no lag, weird flickering or anything like that). In the past, Displaylink software has caused me quite a bit of headaches, so preferably it just has a powerful built-in gfxcard with 3+ outputs, where no software like Displaylink is even needed. It would connect via USB3. I don't care if it can provide power for the laptop.

I know Lenovo is on to something with Onelink Pro, but it only has two outputs for screens - and use a proprietary connector.

Does this docking station exist, or am I just a weirdo that want too much from a docking station? :)

Such thing has been around for years. An actual docking station that connects to the docking port in the laptop. There is limitations though.
You do not want a usb hub with extra connectors, as you have already noticed they have "issues".

Other than a proper docking station, there could be option to use latest Thunderbolt to daisy chain monitors or something that Razer is doing with it's Core. At least I think it might support multiple displays with a right GPU.
