I recommend you buy a back pack, I have just purchased a backpack by The North Face - Recon. every time I wore a messenger bag to university I would come home and my back would hurt so I'd advise against them. the only downfall of my bag is that I will have to purchase a sleeve as there is no padding in the dedicated laptop area, does the fossil backpack have a dedicated laptop compartment?. My backpack In regards to space, organization and looks wins hands down I think, but then again I'm bias.

If I were you out of the three above you have chosen I would pick the Fossil outback backpack, just make sure its fits your laptop and other required items like books and I think your sweet to go. However there are always other options!.

I said "look". Fossil clearly got their inspirations for this bag from hobos.
