    Hey guys,

Just got my G602 AlhamdulillAllah. After browsing the net I found some people mention that the g602 goes into sleep, but couldn't confirm this myself.

Can anyone tell me how to check if my mouse has gone to sleep? And what your experiences are with the sleep mode?

Primarily asking since I don't want to turn off my mouse each time I leave the PC for a few hours. So if theres a sleep mode that would make stuff a lot easier me...

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, the mouse goes to sleep when it doesn't detect motion. Every wireless mouse does this.

You don't need to check if it's currently asleep or not. It doesn't really matter. When you move the mouse while it's asleep, it will miss the first half-second of movement, while it's waking up. But after that, it will behave normally.

It's really not something that I would worry too much about. Every wireless mouse does this. And people have been using decent wireless mice for the past 10-15 years, all without problems of mouse sleep.

If anything, I'd say the more important thing is to use Lithium AA batteries (instead of Alkaline batteries). Lithium batteries will last longer (I get about 3 months of heavy use on G602 gaming mode with lithium AA batteries, versus 1.5 months using alkaline).

Lithium batteries also weigh less, so it will give your G602 a lighter center-balanced weight profile. A G602 with alkaline batteries will have a heavier rear-balanced weight profile, which makes it kind of strange to move the mouse around when the center-of-mass of the mouse and the optical sensor aren't located in the same spot.
