I am out looking for some nice and good quality headphones, with a decent price tag. I have been using the black sony earbuds for a while and they have been working fine.. but i would like a bit of an upgrade. I found some shure e2c's for around 40 bucks shipped... sounds like a damn deal. If i like the quality of the headphones i will probablly pick a pair up for my gf, on ebay or something like that.

What are your opinions on this item? Worth it or not? Sound Quality (upgrading from $50 sony earbuds)

Try the Sennheiser CX 300 for about $50. I have a pair, and I love'em.

I'd love to know where you have found the E2C for $40, I might pick up a couple of spare pairs.

Personally I love mine, currently on my second set and still love them.

One word of caution on the E2C, I don't use the carry case for them, while nice it has "sharp" metal edges, which I ran into issues with my first pair because I was winding them tightly into the case and ended up cutting through the wires (one day I'll get around to buying a soldering iron and fixing them).

    Overall though exceptional headphones.

I'd also recommend the Creative EP-630 or the Sharp MDR-33 (if you can still find them), they're all essentially the same phones, just rebranded.
