I am just curious if there's anything like this. Been wanting to get a new headset but not like the traditional-padded ear with mic. I'm trying to find an earbud style like this
![]()
but as a set. One mic/earbud for one ear and another earbud for the other ear.
I'm specifically looking for this kind of design. Not the typical cellphone usage earbud style with the tiny mic piece on the wire. Any ideas?

there not going to have the same sound quality as a headset would.

Razer Moray -Gets headshotted-
-
-
It actually does
Well Razer Moray Plus has it -
^Yea i was just about to say that.
-
hmmm thanks guys, interesting design on that plantranics. Reizo have you personally used that razer moray? If so how's the sound and mic quality?
keep the recommendations comingmore the better
-
If i were you id get the Razers over the one i posted.
-
mm okay, will be taken into consideration
-
I cant believe i didn't think of these !!! being the astro fanboy that i am
Astro is the official gaming headset of the MLG. there products are the best IMO

Wo...
those things are sick.. gawd >.< big price too, I like. Except the hole it'll leave in my wallet. Hmm. These astros now got bumped up to #1 on my list lol.
-
you wont find anything better for that price, not to mention there so good looking lol. a bit pricey i know but there products are worth every dime.
-
ahhhhh! >.<
hmm.. Christmas is coming up... Maybe that goofy man in the sled could bring me a set
they are freakin nice though I have to admit. Razer Moray is pretty sweet too because it's Razer. However, this is like the cherry on top of the sundae -
-
I use it a lot. The sound quality is really good for PC though somehow I find it not as good if you use the earphones on mobile phones
Mic wise... I don't use it much but the past few times I actually used it, my friends said they can hear me quite nicely
That aside, I do support the Astro recommendation -
DBoogie - ahhh that makes sense, really interested in this. Never heard of Astro in my life either as strange as it sounds.
Reizo - I am highly considering botheither or, I'll end up with one of them.
Now it's just the pick and choose game >.< -
Flip a coin. Heads, Razer. Tails, Razer. If it stands in between the sides then the Astro
If you look at the razer is also comes with multiple jacks for psp and ds support -
hahahaha
hmmmm -
haha. reizo.
-
Of, before making a purchase, I suggest waiting for a few more hours to allow other more experienced NBR members to give their suggestions too
-
hahaha yeah, I'll be waiting for a bit. Probably wont come to a decision for the next two weeks. I know newegg, amazon, razer will throw out some coupons/specials for christmas sales. So going to hold off on the purchase. Until then, pure contemplation on which one to buy. lol
-
I haven't used the Razer Moray+ (the one with the integrated mic), but I've used the Moray (same earbuds, no mic), and they sounded great.
-
I knew you would show up! Thanks for your input shroom
-
If you haven't made a purchase yet, then check out the Sennheiser PC300 headset.
I bought both the Razer Moray+ and the Sennheiser PC300 headsets at the same time. Between the two, I far prefer the Sennheiser PC300 for the improved sound quality, and the superior mic quality.
I also like how the Sennheiser PC300 comes pre-wired with dedicated headphone + mic plugs, whereas the Razer Moray+ requires you to use an adapter. The Razer Moray+ also comes with a bunch of adapters for a Nintendo DS and PSP. But seeing as I don't use either of those portable game consoles, those adapters are useless to me, and I would rather not pay for them.
Someone on Head-Fi bought both, and did a side-by-side comparison of the Sennheiser PC300 and the Razer Moray+. Both text and video review are included in his post.
Sennheiser PC300 and Razer Moray+ Review/Video Review - Head-Fi.org Community -
yeah that was the another thing about Razer, I don't need all those adapters. Thanks for the recommendation Kent, I'll definitely check it out. Sennheiser has a pretty good rep so I trust their quality.
When you compare the two, how's the frequency on the Sennheiser? Does it go pretty low? Got some good umpf on the bass end?
-
You won't get as much bass as you would out of full sized headphones, simply because of physics. But the bass is enough to let you know that a grenade blew up right next to you and killed you. -
Logitech SuperFi 5vi is currently on sale:
Logitech SuperFi 5vi Earphones at TigerDirect.com -
The Logitech SuperFi 5vi is just a rebranded Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi. Decent headphones / headset with decent sound quality. Some users report build quality issues, but some other users swear by them.
They were really intended to be used with smartphones like the iPhone, since they come with a 4-pole 3.5mm plug. Just like the Razer Moray+, you will need to use an adapter to use it as a computer headset. In the case of these headphones, the adapter would need to be purchased separately. -
-
ahh okay, yeah that logitech looks nice too. Basic inline mic, pretty much just average headset is what I'm getting from you Kent; and reviews I'm going over right now.
Good 'ol Tiger.
Thanks Sparhawk for the suggestion -
** this is the ghost of the A star Astros ** LOL
-
hahaha dang it >.<
I'm going to have nightmares because of these. Headsets holding guns to my face telling me to buy them

Im going to buy the $20 Vi cable for my TripleFi 10's and then send them off to a hearing company to have the drivers remolded to custom ear pieces.
Thats what I think you should do
J/K
I think I would go with the Astro's I feel Razer is another company just like Bose, and Monster that increase the price of a prodcut based on name, so you pay for more than you actually get. -
the more I look at all of them, the more I sort of want the Astro's... But I don't know >.<
custom molded ear pieces, hmmm  -
this is true, because Razer is a well known company so they can price their products high even if its not worth that. Astro's prices are high, but extremly well made, because they dont sell like Razer does. -
here is some FAQ on the A*Star, if you weren't already convinced.

oh yeah! If Tiesto has a pair I'm definitely getting it now
Did I buy one yet? Not yet. Need the money >.<
However though, Astars at #1 on my list and only that. So I have my mind set now. Unless if there's a new product that's just ridiculous and tops astars headset. -
haha
Im glad your mind is made
-
Not sure why the Video is green ???? sorry about that.
-
mmhmm, Tannks
for the help and to everyone haha
Video is green? I'm seeing it okay right now, sounds like a codec problem with you? Or some program interfering with the flash video? -
ahhh man its always something haha. Well im glad you can see it ;(
-
I sorry
Gotta love technology, it'll never be perfect in anyway. Other than surrogates.
But before this starts getting off topic, I wonder what the astars cable feels like. That's the only thing I'm really questioning. Definitely not like a braided wire. Seems like if you bend it too much for a while it'll end up cracking or something
