Hey, I've been wanting to migrate to Windows 7 but before that I tested the functionality of a device called Easycap which is a RCA 'tuner' that plugs into a USB 2.0 port. So far it works very good on Windows XP SP3, installing on Windows 7 is a NIGHTMARE, I can only get video but the option for capping via Composite, or S-video is non-existent, there's no Audio and I've not found very good support online.

    Does anyone use Easycap here?

I'm sorry I don't have an answer about Windows 7 for you, but may I ask you which drivers you used to run the Easycap on Win XP SP3. I have the same Easycap and was able to use it with SP2 but I can't get it running after upgrading to SP3. When I try to install the drivers (and I've tried many different versions), I always get an error message--either a non-specific error saying the installation can't complete, or an error telling me to upgrade to Service Pack 2.

I'd appreciate any info you could share. And If I discover anything about Windows 7 and Easycap in my searches, I'll let you know.

    Thanks. Stella
