Has anyone used Emprex USB Flash Drive? Are they reliable? Frys has 4GB model for $19.99 after rebate. Good deal but I don't want to buy cheap USB Flash Drive only to find out later that the thing is unreliable.

Well I find most USB flash drives to be the same pretty much, cause usually the chip inside is made by samsung, kingston, etc other semiconductor companies. It's just rebranded so you don't really know what you're getting.

I don't know some of you USB flash drive PROs might get technical, 2.432925825 ms difference in access time and what not lol.

best of my knowledge, that's pretty cheap, if it looks decent, just buy it and it'll last you as long as you treat it well.

I bought an emprex 4GB for $20 about a month ago and it's already having CRC problems making a few files on the stick worthless. Ready to can it and go buy something reliable. :(

If you ask me flash drives are flash drives, they either work or they don't. I don't see any reason to be afraid to buy it. Ofcourse if you check out newegg.com they usually have a couple other 4GB flashdrives for cheap that are better names.
