Hi i bought my laptop here in the US and now im moving back to Europe (Sweden). I been around to diffrent store's here in the area and they all give me diffrent anwsers.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 and i wonder what stuff i need to get it up running back home without frying my system.
With the AC/DC adapter i should be fine with only a regular european travel adapter?
The AC/DC adapter saying
INPUNT : 100 - 240V~1.5A 50-60 HZ.
OUTPOT : 19.5 V(19,V) 4.62 A
The people telling my diffrent stuff about that i need a converter and some people that i dont.
From what i read on the internet i should be fine with just a travel adapter such as a http://www.roamingfox.co.uk/images/t_16294.jpg
Just want to confirm with you people here that always know![]()
Sincerely Niclas

Yeap that looks right... As basically is all you need is an adaptor (or other cord) to allow the current power adaptor to plug into the wall...
The power brick itself can handle currents from all over the world and will adjust itself accordingly -
The brick will switch voltage automatically, so you dont need a converter.
All you need is a plug. You can either buy a travel plug in America, or get one in Sweden. Based on my experience in England its cheaper to get it in Sweden. Better, than getting a plug though, you can just go to a computer store in Sweden and buy a new 2 or 3 hole cord for the brick. That way you wont ever need to carry a converter plug. I recommend this. I get them in England for £3.
I get all my computers in America. -
Thanks for the answer, what i suspected. Just anyoed me that all the salesmen told me diffrent.

Just to confirm for you, I just came back from Germany. All I needed was a German plug end adapter and an appropriate surge protector. Every thing worke perfectly. BTW, the plug end adapter costs less than $1.00.
