Anyone heard of this little device?

I'd buy it if it was quiet and actually worked. What do you think?

It says on the webpage that the sound level is
Can anyone translate this into English? (ex. 'Loud' or 'Quiet' :p)

    Stolen from Wikipedia:
According to Paul Tipler's Physics For Scientists and Engineers (Third Edition, 1991 by Worth Publishers):

    Normal Breathing 10dB
    Soft whisper (at 5m) 30dB
    Normal Conversation 60dB
    Busy Traffic 70dB
    Average Factory 80dB
    Niagra Falls 90dB

Wait if the laptop's fans are pulling air in, wouldn't a cooler extracting air just short out the fans or something? Or is that not a fan? OR, is it not working with the laptop's vents?

So it's gonna be as loud as someone whispering. Now the harder question: does it work?

:D I might as well buy it; only costs like $15

It works on the side vent which pushes air out, therefore the device amplifies the extraction of warm air out of the side vent.

This is one of those things that I think is really innovative yet I'm not sure if it works or not and need a review of it by a reliable member of this site. If anyone gets this can you post a review of some sort? Same for the ixoft pad thingy that supposedly cools well.

    thanks :D

why wouldn't it work? All it need is a side vent, with a USB port available. Of course hopefully the cord is long enough. But, I see point, it may hinder the viewing angle. But, with pic with the pc and fan it seems to be flushed, so it may not be a problem. Wait until a review comes along. But, the dimensions are there on the website.
