Does anyone have experience with the wired Arctis Pro Headset (with or w/o the GAMEDAC)? Is it worth the $230? I have been looking for reviews online, but some say it's terrible and some say it's the greatest gaming headset on the planet.

I got suckered by reviews and have one. The price is too much for what you get.
1. Comfort : my head is perfect for the no adjustable system. Snug fit and comfy in the ear.
2. Audio quality : poor. If you want to listen to some jams while playing and expect some punch in the low range this is not the product for you. Mid and high range is decent but for the price I expected more.
3. DAC: I like this one. Sound is crystal clear and very easy to use. Controls are straight forward and while the volume is not too loud you can adjust between voice and game sound at the touch of a button.
4. Connectivity: nicely labelled with stickers so you don’t mess up. Even with stickers good luck hooking the cable to the dac. Takes 4-5 attempts until you can align them properly. Same with the cable on the headset it is not easy to plug in. I am not a big fan of the proprietary parts but I guess they have to make money somehow.
5. Voice quality : amazing but people complain I am not loud enough. So I had to blast my microphone volume.
I would recommend this at 50% price but not the full 200 euros. The guys who have it stellar reviews or said it was the best must have had some incentives.

I would strongly recommend utilizing Peace to improve the horrible sound on these.

YMMV, so adjust as you'd like.Wishmaker likes this.
