Does anyone use one of these?

I am interested in getting one that will work on Windows 7 X64. I am also open to getting a USB based one but so far the ones I have tried were only XP compatible with outdated software.

I noticed the Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1400/Hybrid analogue and digital Expresscard 54mm TV Tuner card. The FAQ says it will work in Windows 7 but I haven't heard anyone else mention whether it does or not.

    Any feedback is welcome.

I've got an AVerTV expresscard54 one, downloaded the W7 X64 drivers from their site.

Got that one as it dosn't stick out of the slot (sits flush with the laptop bezel).

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I will go with the AverTV one. I wonder how many others don't stick out of the ExpressCard slot. I see that as quite important.

Analogue is now defunct. So why would you want that if you were going to buy a new tuner? Get one digital or dual digital.

Dude, it says so right on the box in your post. I'm don't even think any markets still broadcasts in analogue?

Oh, I didn't buy that one (WinTVHR), I went for the different one that Lunar_wolf suggested (AverTV Digi Express). Same type of Express 54 but a different model that only mentions the Digital format.

your cable company might still be broadcasting in analog, or if you want to view any of the low-power, Class A or TV Translator channels that may still broadcast in analog

Yeah model E554 is the one I have, works great and intergrates into Media Center if you just install the drivers so you don't have to use Avermedia's software - but their software works fine as well.

Comes with remote, USB IR receiver, the TV card itself, antenna adaptor and a mini antenna - does everything it says on the tin and its not to pricey either.

Oh, snap! We've got a know-it-all in the house. Nevertheless, you ARE absolutely correct. Cable companies have until 2012 before they are required to switch to digital broadcast. Therefore, some shows could in fact, still be analogue.
