    External CD Drive Not Working

    I have an Acer TravelMate 370 Notebook. When I attach the external CD drive, the cd drive flashes and indicates that it is working, however the computer does not recognise that the external cd drive is attached to it, and therefore does not read the cd. The CD Drive model number is ESV-189i


    Any ideas as to how I could remedy the situation?!
