Hey guys i am looking for some nice speakers for my laptop. I want clean sound.. but do not want to spend more than 50 bucks. I have been looking at speakers but they all have multiple plugs... i have a powerbook 12".. which only has one port.. for headphone or speaker.. i do not want to go through somekind of external sound card.. i am looking for some speakers that can hook right up. thanks alot.

If you can only find speakers with dual plugs, you could pick up splitter. They are very cheap, and allow you to plug two 3.5mm plugs into 1 3.5mm effectively. The first one I found is HERE, but I;m sure you can find them a)cheaper and b)more efficiently shaped than that.

For your price range, it probably is better to pick up a nice headset. Are you looking for a mobile speaker solution or just something you can plug the laptop into when you come home?

For about $50 more you could get a pair of the Klipsch 2.0 speakers. IMHO these things sound great and plug in to the headphone jack on any notebook with on plug.

    Worth a look at least.
