I'd probably go with the larger Samsung...that's not a bad price for it.

Ya that's the one I was leaning towards. Any other models I should consider? Or is this a good one?

I was going to use it as my tv and also as a monitor for my laptop for a dual screen setup (laptop monitor and this monitor) ... maybe play some games on it as well

Just a regular HDMI cable most likely, Amazon.com usually has them for under $5.

Wow guys. Does nobody here happen to know that both these TVs use TN panels? Not recommendable at all.

The price is terrible too. $270? You can buy ALOT of TV for that, or even a IPS/PVA/MVA monitor + t-amp + bookshelf speakers that would butcher both of those offerings. If you want to follow along the Samsung's attempt at thin and pretty, at least treat yourself to a LED backlit Vizio such as the M220MV or M220VA.

If you'd come along earlier, I would've recommended you a Vizio VL260M with IPS panel and 1080p for under $300, but all sources seem to have dried up. In any case, it should be easy to best those particular samsungs.

I am not sure if the Vizio VL370 uses IPS panels but we have one and it is nice :)

It's a 37" model screen we use for satellite viewing and hooking our laptops up to when we have AVIs or MKVs to watch. The viewing angles are extreme from a side, top, and bottom view so I'm guessing it is IPS.

Just throwing in my 2-cents for the brand. We got this one for $599.

I don't have the panel code for the VL370M, but I'm close to certain that it's an IPS panel. That TV is a great buy; since 120Hz isn't fully mature, and LED backlighting hasn't cheapened properly, that particular TV really lies in a sweet spot when it comes to pricing.

What would you guys recommend for a tv/monitor in the 23-25 inch range. Im looking for something that would be good to watch tv on as well as hook up my computer to to play games and do some work on.
